Project Development-Senior Project Manager, MEP
Job Description
- Manage project execution end-to-end by the project charter, roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measure of success amongst stakeholders of the project team - Represent the Employer MEP needs and priorities to stakeholders of the Project team - Proactively improves project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness - Encourage independent advice from stakeholders and consolidates consensus as a decision on performance of MEP installations and systems within the project team - Identify project-specific risks throughout the delivery life cycle and drives corrective behavior throughout various MEP installations and systems - Relay project status timely to stakeholders of the project team, acts as the project advocate, and takes responsibilities for risk under close monitoring for corrective actions - Facilitate post-project reviews on MEP performance to cultivate a “Learning organization” - Advise on suitable project management software to track progress of projects from inception to completion - Co-ordinate with pre-construction activities - Devise specific Project Procedures and Master Documents for MEP work packages and follows them through including the holding of monthly reviews to identify deviation and take corrective actions - Develop programme of procurement and construction, general outline method statement, contract packaging strategies, value management exercises, risk management, value engineering exercises and all tender documentation for all MEP work / supply packages - Review and recommend the procurement process from pre-qualification bid lists, mid-tender reviews, bid placing report, sign off and Employer handshake to contract signature - Prepare MEP Contracts and Specialist MEP Suppliers Contracts with specific Project Safety Plans, method statements, Project Quality plan and programme - Expedite both on-site and off-site progress activities in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders - Co-ordinate project administration, including drawing control, IT strategies, filing and secretariat within the project zone and context - Satisfy policies and control guidelines in close collaboration with Commercial Team and Internal Audit Team on tendering, cost control and monitoring measure - Ensure Contract insurance and legal directives / requirements are in place under MEP work packages - Produce regular reports and presentations to the management and stakeholders - Recommend personal training needs and appraisals to sub-ordinates, any short-falls or issues should be notified to superior - Establish the meetings matrix and strategy to cope with specific needs - Oversee production of O&M manuals for all MEP work packages - Perform other job related duties as assigned
Competencies and Requirements
- Bachelor degree holder in related discipline - Corporate member of relevant professional institution - Minimum 15 years’ working experience in relevant project management field, of which at least 10 years in a senior position having been involved in project management and execution on projects with value more than USD$500 million - Computer literate and numerate - Excellent people management and communication skills - Customer-focused - Capable to organize, lead, manage and train all staff to implement all work scopes required by the Employer / Developer - Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented - Work based in overseas regions and subject to relocation if necessary
