“The Suncity Group 65th Macau Grand Prix” officially kicked off on November 15. Suncity Group has supported this event as a title sponsor for the fifth consecutive year and will continue to support Macau’s sports events to promote the development of its sports sector. The 4-day event will be held from November 15 to 18. Suncity Group will continue to present the highlights of the event to the audience.
On the first day of the event, Maggie Lei, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration of Suncity Group, and Simon Wong, Director of Human Resources and Administration of Suncity Group, attended the event and took photos with the Suncity Group Greater Bay Area Lotus Cup racers to cheer for them!
Drivers had a number of free practice sessions for the different racing events. Although they were only practice laps, the racers were still intensely focused. For them, it was all about getting into the right state of mind for racing, but it also created a good atmosphere for the crowd.
This was especially so in the Macau Touring Car Cup free practice session held around 11 am. The drivers of the Suncity Racing Team delivered a highlight performance for the spectators. Paul Poon took the lead in the practice sessions. He not only ranked first in the 1.6T group, but also beating the racers of the 2.0T and over group to rank first in the overall results. Alex Fung finished the practice session ranking second in the 1.6T group and overall sixth. The other three racing team members— Samson Fung, Sunny Wong and Lo Kai Bong—finished the practice session smoothly.
The following events, Suncity Group Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix - FIA Formula 3 World Cup - Qualifying 1, and Suncity Group Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix - 52nd Edition - Qualifying, continued to heighten the competitive atmosphere.
