Highlights of the Suncity Group 65th Macau Grand Prix Second Day Events
On the second day of the Grand Prix, the glamorous Suncity Group racing models became one of the highlights of the day, creating an exciting atmosphere at the circuit.
For the highly anticipated Suncity Racing Team, the team’s 5 drivers had a smooth run in the Qualifying session for the Macau Touring Car Cup, claiming the position on the first rows.
Suncity Group Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 52nd Edition – Qualifying 2
In this qualifying session, the top three positions were all taken by UK racers. Peter Hickman achieved the fastest lap to capture pole position. The competition behind him for the second position was equally fierce, with Michael Rutter (No. 8) narrowly beating Martin Jessopp (No. 40).
Suncity Group Greater Bay Area Lotus Cup - Qualifying
Macao driver Mak Ka Lok set a blistering pace during the Qualifying session to claim the pole position, with fellow Macao driver Kong Kin Chong just behind him. Hong Kong driver Lo Ka Fai came in third.
Macau Touring Car Cup - Qualifying
In this qualifying session, Suncity Racing Team’s 5 drivers had a smooth run, with Sunny Wong clocking the fastest lap to claim the pole position. His teammates also clocked spectacular results as Samson Fung came fifth in the session. The 3 drivers in the 1600cc Turbo group Paul Poon, Alex Fung and Lo Kai Bong came fourth, sixth and fifteenth, respectively.
Suncity Group Macau Guia Race - FIA World Touring Car Cup - Q1, Q2, Q3
After three intense qualifying sessions, Britain Rob Huff (No. 12) captured first place with the fastest lap, Esteban Guerrieri (No. 86) from Argentina and Hungarian racer Norbert Michelisz (No. 5) were second and third.
Suncity Group F3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup - Qualifying 2
In this qualifying session, British drivers, again, claimed the top spots as Dan Ticktum took the pole position, narrowly beating fellow Briton Callum Ilott, who will be taking the second position on the grid as French racer Sacha Fenestraz managed to grab the third position at the end of the session.
Macau GT Cup - FIA GT World Cup - Qualifying
For the last qualifying session of the day, Raffaele Marciello (No. 999) of Italy, Brazilian racer Augusto Farfus Jr. (No. 42), and Maro Engel (No. 888) from Germany won first, second and third, respectively.
The excitement on the Guia Circuit will be getting more intense tomorrow as the 12-lap race of the Macau Touring Car Cup and the 12-lap race of Suncity Group Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 52nd Edition takes place. Star performers including Chau Pak Ho, Kay Tse, Nancy Wu, Vincent Wong, and Edwin Siu will also appear here at the circuit to cheer on the racers!
