It is the second day of the 4-day Suncity Group 66th Macau Grand Prix as we see more action on the circuit and race queens become one of the highlights of the day.
Suncity Group Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 53rd Edition – Q2
First we see the second qualifying session of Suncity Group Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix – 53rd Edition. Michael Rutter had a fast run with a 2:25 lap time, claiming the top spot of the day, but still 0.3 seconds shy of Peter Hickman’s 2:25.1 pole lap, who took the second position for the second qualifying, and third place went to Australian David Johnson.
Suncity Group Macau Guia Race – FIA WTCR - Qualifying
2-time champion Yvan Muller snatched the pole position for the first round of the race with the fastest WTCR lap of 2:28.661 on the Guia Circuit, beating Norbert Michelisz by 0.07 seconds. Another veteran of the Guia Circuit, Andy Priaulx came third in the qualifying.
Suncity Group Greater Bay Area GT Cup - Qualifying
Macau’s Kevin Tse took pole position for Sunday’s Suncity Group Greater Bay Area GT Cup after setting a blistering 2:35.13 lap early on in the Qualifying session. Hong Kong’s Philip Kadoorie ranked second in the session, making it an all Mercedes-Benz AMG front row. The third place went to Lei Kit Meng as Chinese Taipei’s Chang Chien Shang got his best time deleted as a result of regulation infringements.
Macau Touring Car Cup - Qualifying
Suncity Racing Team’s Paul Poon claimed the pole position in an exciting Macau Touring Car Cup Qualifying session with a lap of 2:32.21. His teammate Alex Fung made it an all-1600cc Turbo front row for the start of Saturday’s race. The third place went to Wong Wan Long, who was the fastest of the above 1950cc class.
Suncity Group Macau Guia Race – FIA WTCR – Q1, Q2, Q3
Rob Huff claimed his ninth Macao pole position and his first of the FIA WTCR season in a dramatic second Macau Guia Race qualifying session with a lap time of 2:28.538, beating Andy Priaulx’s lap by 0.206 second and Jean-Karl Vernay was third.
Suncity Group Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup - Qualifying
Jüri Vips took a spectacular pole position for the Qualification Race for Suncity Group Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup, breaking the two minute, five second barrier with a stunning 2:04.99 lap. Russian driver Robert Shwartzman came second and Callum Ilott will start the Qualification Race from third.
Macau GT Cup - FIA GT World Cup – Qualifying
For the last event of the day, Raffaele Marciello stormed to pole position for the Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup Qualification Race with a stunning 2:15.66 lap and Dries Vanthoor will start the Qualification Race in second while Earl Bamber came third.
